Step by step

How to build a panel.

  1. Set the posts

Set the aluminium posts plumb and at equal centre-to-centre distances. On soft ground with a foundation in the soil, on hard ground anchored to the paving or concrete.

  2. Fit the bottom rail

Fix the bottom rail between the posts with the L-brackets and the self-tapping screws.

  3. Stack the boards

Slide the WPC boards with tongue and groove into the slots of the posts, together with the cover profiles.

  4. Top rail and post cap

Finish the panel with the top rail and place the post cap on the post.

  5. Next panel

Each next panel shares a post with the previous one. That is how you complete the whole line, with a gate if you like.

Note

Common mistakes.

  • Insufficient foundation under the posts
  • Posts not plumb or not set to size
  • Measurements not checked beforehand
  • Boards not stored flat and dry before installation
  • Too little space for material movement
